  • Buy local – it makes sense for Cardiff Electrical

I guess my customers are lucky, whether they’re in Maidenhead or on the Wirral or in Wilmslow I always approach my work with the same level of professionalism. Unfortunately that can’t be said of all trades people.

I’ve seen terrible kitchen installations and botched builds, usually the client’s were tempted by the cheap price, perhaps beating many local kitchen fitters, builders, plumbers and electricians. However, I’m a great believer in ‘you get what you pay for’.

Choosing local skilled trades people provides the following benefits:

Local trades have a local reputation to protect. It’s not in their interest to disappoint their clients. Your more likely to get a better job done.

In the unlikely event of any problems, it’s less difficult for your local trades person to pop round to sort it out.

Some jobs benefit from continuity. For example, you may have a later project that is reliant on some aspect of the first job. Having the person that did the first job readily available to perform the second job can make the later project so much easier to complete.

You’re supporting your local skilled trades and in so doing contributing to the local community.

So the next time you have a renovation, new build, extension or bathroom project, consider local companies and local tradesmen and the positives that they have to offer. The short term investment should reap longer term benefits. There are many skilled, experienced and trustworthy tradesmen in the Cheshire East area.

Domestic Central Heating from Cardiff Electrical

Plumbed central heating systems in most domestic environments fall into one of three types:

Vented pumped with radiators – common in many properties in the UK. Characterised by a small feed and expansion cistern in the loft.

Unvented pumped with radiators – more efficient than vented and less prone to corrosion due to the system being closed.

Unvented pumped underfloor heating – typically installed in new builds. Can be part retrofiited to extensions. Usually fitted with a pump and manifold kit.

All systems require valves and electrical controls. Valves required could be 2-Port Zone valve or 3-Port depending on whether the system is plumbed as an S-Plan or C-Plan.

All radiators should have a thermostatic valve fitted excepting one radiator that should act as a bypass if an automatic bypass isn’t fitted.

Electrical controls include a room thermostat, a cylinder thermostat and a programmer.

Your house is probably the most significant investment that you’ll make and when it comes to electrical work in your house you know it makes sense to use qualified, experienced, Part-P certified electricians.
